Printer Setup: USB Thermal Printer

Follow these steps to set up your USB thermal printer with Saleculator.

Prerequisites

• Ensure the USB thermal printer is connected to your computer/system via a USB cable.
• Verify that the printer is turned on and properly plugged in.

Steps to Configure the USB Thermal Printer

1. Open Saleculator:
   • Launch the Saleculator application.
2. Access Configuration:
   • Go to the Main Menu.
   • Click on Configuration.
3. Configure Printer Settings:
   • Navigate to the Peripherals tab.
   • From the “Printer” dropdown, select your printer brand (e.g., Epson or the appropriate brand).
   • From the “Mode” dropdown, choose “File”.
   • From the “Port” dropdown, select the last option: /dev/usb/lp0.
4. Save and Restart:
   • Click Save to apply the changes.
   • Restart Saleculator to ensure the settings take effect.

Test the Printer

• Print a receipt for a few products from Saleculator.
• A successful printout confirms that the USB thermal printer is set up correctly.
